The DG $5 Off $25 Store Coupon
The 5 off 25 coupon is super important to getting the most out of your savings. This is because of something called “coupon stacking.” Essentially, we’ll be using the $5 off $25 coupon on top of other manufacturer coupons inside the Dollar General app in order to get a $25 cart for (usually) $10 or under!
A while back, some Dollar General locations began using a “new system” that changed how coupon stacking works, especially with the oh so crucial digital $5 off $25 coupon. This means that the digital $5 off $25 Dollar General store coupon would no longer be applied at the register, only allowing the deduction of manufacturer coupons.
Thankfully, not every store has switched to this system. Even better, it seems there’s a workaround for those stores that have stopped allowing the stacking of the digital $5 off $25 coupon.
In order to do this, you’ll need a paper version of the $5 off $25 coupon (often found at the bottom of your receipt).
When you reach a register, whether it’s a self-checkout or a traditional one, the first thing you should do is scan the $5 off $25 paper coupon FIRST.
Do this before scanning any of your items. After scanning the coupon, proceed to scan your items, then enter your phone number, and finally press “pay.” This should, once again, stack those coupons and get you your deal!
